Consent text and stored data

Updated July 26, 2026 · 3 min read · Pro feature

In the Subscription lock, the text the visitor consents to and the fields you store are clearly defined.

The consent checkbox

The subscribe form has a fixed consent text: “I agree to share my contact details and to be contacted.” The submit button is disabled until it's ticked. This text is fixed for now and isn't tied to a specific law.

What data is stored

The fields the visitor leaves: name, email, phone, address (only the ones you enabled; email always). Plus the consent state, the source, the capturing link, the location (address or city/country) and the date.

How it looks in Contacts

In the Contacts screen, clicking a record shows a “Consent” field as “Marketing: yes/no”. The date of birth is never stored anywhere.

Tip

Ask only for fields you'll really use; a short form gets more sign-ups.
