Setting and sharing an access code

Updated July 26, 2026 · 3 min read · Pro feature

The access-code lock opens a link only to people who know the four-digit code.

What it's for

For links you want only certain people to see — event attendees, a closed sale, or an internal document. Without the code, the link won't open.

Setting the code

Open the link row → Lock tab (Pro) → turn on the “Access code” rule → enter the four-digit code and save.

Sharing the code

You share the code with visitors yourself — by email, message or at the event. LinkHub does not send the code automatically.

What the visitor sees

A visitor who taps the locked link sees a single Code field and an “Unlock” button in the “Locked content” window. The right code opens the link; a wrong one shows “Incorrect code” and can be retried.

Tip

Change the code periodically; if an old code has been over-shared, you close access easily.
